Fraud Aware
I've never heard of telecoms fraud?
Telecoms Fraud is now larger than Credit Card Fraud worldwide. It costs business Billions of pounds in lost revenue and has been known to wipe out small firms completely.
How does it happen?
There are many types of fraud. An employee using your phones to call a premium rate number or speak to a relative abroad and leaving you footing the bill could be a best case scenario. Worst case you could be targeted by a criminal organisation that hacks into your phone system and runs up a potentially unlimited phone bill.
How can a phone system be hacked?
In a similar fashion to that of a recent tabloid scandal, hackers target unprotected Voicemail boxes and use access codes to dial out over the victim's telephone lines. This is usually done remotely.
Why should I care if I didn't make the calls?
Legally it is your responsibility to protect your phone lines; if your lines are hacked you will be responsible for all costs.
What is Fraud aware?
Fraud aware is a 24/7 monitoring and alert service which will notify you of any unusual telephone activity i.e. Telecoms Fraud.
Will it stop Telecoms Fraud affecting me?
Fraud Aware is to your Phone what a Burglar Alarm is to your House. We monitor your lines 24/7 and if something strange happens we will let you know, at your request we can then place restrictions on your lines while we work with you to minimise the effects.
